Getpackt ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the Getpackt mobile application and website at getpackt.app.

Information we collect

We collect the following types of information when you use Getpackt:

• Account information — your name, email address, and profile photo when you create an account
• User content — trip names, destinations, dates, packing lists, item assignments, notes, and subgroup information you create within the app
• Usage data — how you interact with the app, including features used and actions taken
• Device identifiers — a unique user ID assigned to your account

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

• Create and manage your account
• Provide and improve the Getpackt service
• Send trip invitations and assignment notifications to you and your group members
• Respond to your support requests
• Ensure the security and integrity of our service

We do not use your data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or use it for any purpose beyond operating and improving Getpackt.

Third party services

Getpackt uses the following third party services to operate:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account data and trip content are stored securely on Supabase servers. You can review Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy.
• Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send trip invitations and notifications. You can review Resend's privacy policy at resend.com/legal/privacy-policy.

We do not share your data with any other third parties.

Data sharing

Your trip content is shared with other members of your trips — this is core to how Getpackt works. When you invite someone to a trip, they will be able to see the trip name, item lists, and member assignments. You control who you invite.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with any outside parties for marketing or advertising purposes.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and trip data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law.

Data security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. All data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored securely via Supabase. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

Children's privacy

Getpackt is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of Getpackt after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
